Ok I would like to purchase the Shinko 712 front and rear for my 77 xs400d with 18" aluminum wheels.

100/90/18 Front
110/90/18 Rear

Will I need to also run inner tubes or will the tires seat and seal on the rim?

Been googling all morning and cant seem to find the answer I am looking for.

Thanks

How lucky do you feel? Yes, the cast wheels have 'tubeless' cast into them but they lack circumferential ridges that newer rims have. These ridges are safety features that apparently help prevent the bead popping or something. Also the hole for the valve stem is too small for the standalone rubber stems that tubeless tires require and needs enlarging. I'm not wild about the added weight of tubes but I'm using them.
