XS650 caliper and rotor on XS400

Will a xs650 caliper bolt up to a xs400 special? I have read some and hear guys of using them for their builds but I wasn't entirely clear on if that is an exact bolt on or if they had to use xs650 forks also?

I answered your other thread too; it's unlikely anything from the 650 is bolt-on. It's possible they have been used, but a custom bracket seems like it is most likely used.

And if you are going through the trouble of making brackets, a 650 caliper would be a huge waste when you could put something better on

I agree; and probably cheaper. Most people try to cash in on rare vintage parts. A modern caliper from a supersport would likely be cheaper.
