    Hand Shifter

Without getting into the funny details, on my ride home last night I lost my shifter pedal. In order to limp home i had to put vise-grips on the stud, in essence destroying the splines. So i came up with 2 options, getting a stock foot shifter hammering it on and putting a few tack welds on so...

Changing the mufflers, is rejetting always necessary

I want to change the mufflers on my XS. Im tossing up just putting a different muffler on, or maybe doing a straight pipe with a baffle in it. Not looking for anything other than I want this thing louder. Is a rejet always necessary? Im not really a carb guy, but I wouldn't really think you...

Tell me about my plugs (pics)

Id say you have 1 cylinder running a little bit rich, but overall not terrible.

    Fuse Box Replacement Help

I used this one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HLA-H84960091/. Luckily it "bolted" right into the oem fastener holes. The wires all plug right into the block with 2 extras just in case.

    Aftermarket mufflers

Shenanigans! I hated that sound all thru my Import racing days, and that will carry over to now as well.

    Aftermarket mufflers

Yea i heard the 2 into 1 and I hate the look and sound. Im also not a fan of straight pipes, sounds a bit too honda ricey to me.

    Aftermarket mufflers

I want to go to a better flowing and more importantly louder muffler. Not obnoxious, just a reminder to other motorists that I'm there. Im assuming anything that isnt stock will require the carbs to be jetted, which is ok because Im also going to use a cone filter to clean the bike up a bit...

    LED Taillight options

Thats what I'm looking for, ebay is so hit or miss that I wanted someone to chime in and say they have used certain ones and they work. I still have the factory tail light, so if I get those bulbs you posted will i need to modify them or the tail light at all in order to get the maximum...

    LED Taillight options

I want to go to an LED taillight setup, since I went to a halogen headlight I want to reduce the draw and I want to be "as seen" as possible. After researching Im finding the only bulbs worth spending money on are $30+ per bulb so Xs 2 is over $60 once you factor in shipping/tax or want not...

    Another FNG

Thanks. Not hard at all. Take out the old headlight, remove the inner ring. Where the inner ring screws into the outter ring, you cut/grind off the mounting tabs. Thats gives enough room for the 7" to fit into the outter ring. Move the wires out of the way as this one is a shade deeper, and...

    Another FNG

Well I just went thru my first few modifications. I junked the glass fuse block and replaced it with a spade fuse block from summit. I went to polish some of the chrome with some good stuff when I noticed the flames on the right side of the tank were starting to peel...which turned into...

Our Other Rides (Cars) Past and Present

Unfortunately the car is no longer with us. She had an electrical issue that caused somewhere around $3,000 in damage to parts and I simply could not afford the car anymore, so i parted it out and had the shell crushed in october 2010. She did use to terrorize the streets in the early 2000's...
