I hard wired the battery to the starter (after taking it completely apart and thoroughly cleaning it) and it seemed really sluggish and wouldn't start the bike up. I guess the culprit was the starter after all.

After hardwiring the battery straight to the starter to inspect the condition of the starter, it wouldn't start and acted sluggish (after a thorough cleaning of the inside of it). Looking for a used one for cheap because new ones are more than I'd like to spend. Shoot me a message! thanks guys,
