I surely want a pair if they fit a 82 dohc 400 maxim :)

I did replace that already. I also tried going off the other carb intak boot without any luck

Carbs have been cleaned very well by myself, it will start with starting fluid. It will also start and stay running when I blow the fuel into the carbs. I am assuming the vacuum assist from the petcock is not allowing gas to be pushed into the carbs? Any ideas? Do I just need a petcock...

I've been trying to find some 55mm pods for a 82 dohc 400. I have only been able to find k&n filters. Anyone have a good lead on some? I've searched buy haven't really found the larger ones. I'm pretty sure the carbs were 55mm. Thanks

how do you suggest turning the motor over? just using the starter?

It doesn't have the frame running in the front. Here is the only picture I have right now of the bike

A friend of mine picked up a 82 400 special 2 for a steal but the motor is seized. It has the maxim badges on it but I guess they didn't come out til 83? This is why I am assuming its the special 2, im not super familiar with these bikes. I did do some research but couldn't get a direct...
