Hey. I've seen some guys selling plates to adapt xs650s to take an r6 caliper and rotor. Am I right that I could use them on my xs400? The caliper a on my 400 and 650 are the same to the eye. Cheers guys

Yeah I've got an rr38 in the post. A side note the starter doesn't seem to turn well if my voltage is much below 13. Is that normal I coukd there be something up with my starter motor?

Ah I thought I needed 14ah, I might be able to save a few quid then. Probably a stupid question but does the physical size of the battery matter apart from it fitting the stock battery box? Everywhere always suggests massive batteries for the xs400.

So I got the strobe on it and despite being seemingly spot on to the marks both sides where way off on the strobe. It now runs great on the left, not so good on the right but I need to balance the carbs still so hopefully that will clear that up. Next it's my charging issues, I round a thing...

A dwell meter? I'll look in to that. I went to strobe it earlier and discovered there are flanes shooting out of the card on the running side. I checked the valve clearances and they're all within spec. I don't think the timing can be that far out. Cheers for the info guys
