Hello! I recently got an '83 xs400 maxim and am refurbishing it since it has that classic west coast damage of rust and salt stains. I was wondering about the edge of the fuel tank, if the bike originally came with a sort of trim? Where the top and bottom part of the fuel tank is welded...

I have a lots problem with my bike, it was dead like a 8 months ago, i started to restore it, but my two big problems are wiring diagram and carburation, i dont know anything about that and i hope that you can help me guys, please, i really want my bike backs to live.

After cleaning up the engine I noticed a little oil leak up front on the lower fins and assumed it was the head gasket, but after further inspection it's coming from this little bolt. Anyone know what this is or how to stop the leak?
