18" front and 16" rear dual sport tire search

You hate the bike? Seriously? Why? Because you are proving to yourself that you don't have the skills to work on such a simple machine? How do you get out of bed every day knowing the world is going to beat you down?...

Yup, I'm so vexed by simple machines that I'm surprised every morning that I can tie my shoes.

I did that after the 4.7 blew both head gaskets, over pressurized the coolant system, and blew up the heater core, spewing coolant all over the interior. Took about a month of evenings. Along the way, the transmission got a shift kit, the heads got milled down 20 thousandths, were given a port and polish, and new cams. All done by me, all done by hand. When it was done, it'd smoke all 4 wheels at once.

I'd rather do that again than deal with this little Yam. I've worked on performance vehicles since I was 10, and cut my teeth at the age of 14 building an Olds 425 that eventually pushed my Delta 88 into the 12's, all by me, with mechanical decisions that I researched and made myself.

Now, at the age of 30, I can't get this stupid sewing machine on 2 wheels to run properly. Damn thing has fought me the entire way. Even now, I finally get it running right, the new tires are on (if not holding air...need a patch kit), and I can't get it titled, because the lady I bought it from didn't give me a bill of sale. I'm just frustrated that it seems to be more of a PITA than it should be.

But sure, blow me crap about my mechanical skills.

Winks, JK's or an lol go a long way with text sarcasm. I've learned the hard way with gf's. [emoji51]

Eventually I'll be headed to a tracker look with my XS but first the fiancé needs to learn to ride on it. One day I'll get to set the Yamaha up how I like.
