18" Front Drum Wheel

I have both an 18" front wire wheel with drum brakes and an 18" wire rear with drum brakes. I need to re-lace both wheels as they have bent and rusted spokes.

I took off a few spokes to make sure they were different. The front spokes seem to be about 5mm shorter than the equivalent rear spokes, with the same angle. MixesXS does not seem to have any reference to an 18" wire front drum kit.

Does anyone know where to source the 18" front drum spokes?

Try yamaha or google the part number. A few models used a 18" front drum.

send it to Buchaanans in CA. They will make you a set. If you can get 2 good opposing side spokes, it wont cost much. If you send the wheel, they will do it for you for a fee of course.

Thanks MrYeats. I started down the road with Buccanans but got put off by their web interface. I will send the spokes instead.

The front set of spokes is Yammy part # 152-25104-00-00 and also fit early YD YM YR, DS and RD models with front drums on an 18 incher.

The rear set of spokes are # 1L9-25304-00-00 and is specific to our 360/400 drummed 18's on the back so might be harder to find
