the other day i rerouted the harness around to hide most of the front wiring. now i get to move on to bending and reshaping the rear section of the frame and extending the swingarm about 2-3 inches for better angles and overall length for a bobber type bike. I have a 5 3/4'' bates style bobber headlight all wired up using the existing factory wiring harness plugs and connections so its just a matter of fabbing up a mount for it to sit on.
For the exhaust, i plan on ditching the current pipes and bring both pipes to one side of the bike. gotta a fair amount of work left to do but im ready to get this thing done.

well thats it for now, ill check in when i have some more progess done

love the bike! looks cool let me know if you want to sell that old headlight bucket i need one to get my bike road worthy, not the whole bucket but the metal surrounding the light but i would buy the whole bucket. where did you hide the birds nest of wiring that was behind the headlight?

i can sell you pretty much anything from the headlight that doesnt require wiring to work. so the metal back plate, the rings, the screws, all that jazz. the headlight unit itself with the glass lens is, for all intents and purposes, useless now. just let me know what you need and shoot me an off for it.

for the wiring, i unplugged the guages harnesses and totally removed the indicator unit so all that wiring was unplugged and set aside in my house. i taped back all loose wires back to the main harness with electrical tape until it was clean and then tucked all that back inbetween the 3 tubes that make up the backbone under the tank.re reouted some other wiring to make some room but all in all its fairly hidden. im replacing the tank so im going to make a compartment out of those three tubes because its exhisting cavity is perfect for housing most of the electrical components

the previous owner duck-taped the headlight on when i got home and pulled the tape off i freaked out when i saw the mess of wiring behind the light.

Was thinking like thirty bucks for all of the head light stuff if that is cool let me know i have no idea what they are worth i would much rather give my money to someone who is going to use it on there bike than some random stranger on ebay. i also have an entire parts bike if you need parts minus the front end. let me know, i live just north of you in chattanooga so i can meet you some weekend coming up. the parts bike is a 77

i do acutally need some carb holders. the ones off this bike are cracking. if yours are in good condition maybe we could just straight trade?

the extras are cracked also not all the way through but i would feel bad about telling you thy were good i also have the chrome wheel to match your rear wheel i will give you the carb holders but i don't know that i would run them i am going to send you a pm with my number give me a call tomorrow and we can talk about it thanks

cant wait to get to choppin. the bars themselves need to be stripped of the paint thats on it now and will eventually be powdercoated the same color as the frame when it gets coated. no clue what thatll be yet
