I picked up a rotor cover from ebay "from a 1977" because it was missing from the bike i "found". It looked to me like it would fit, so $19.98 later i own it.
Well the pattern is the same, but it is not deep enough. The rotor hits the cover 1/4 inch before it is even tightened down.:wtf:
If anyone needs one...

Well that sucks. More spare parts for the next xs you get right.

I had heard that they wouldn't fit. The 81 has the electronic ignition right? I think some 81's did and early 81's didn't.

Yeah, my 81 has the electronic ignition.

So if anyone has a spare cover for an 81, i am looking for one.:wink2:

@ Oldgeek I saw a how to once at instructables where the guy made a cnc table out of I think an old printer . Might be something to look up and make.

I love that place! I have also seen some CNC stuff there. I got waaay too many irons in the fire to start another project! Plus i got nowhere to work on stuff now. Too much krap in my small shed. I have got to make room for this bike project though. I WILL FINISH THIS ONE....SOMEHOW!:bike:
