Hi Everyone,

I am brand new to this Forum and brand new to motorcycle building. I just picked up a 1977 xs360 and started tearing it down. I am starting with a top end rebuild and was hoping someone out there might be able to help me. I have discovered that pistons, gaskets, etc. are not that readily avaliable. I have found some on e-bay, but It seems odd to me that I dont find anything on the web like aftermarket top end kits. Is this bike uncommon?

If anyone knows where I can find parts for this bike except on e-bay please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

welcome to the site.

Ebay is your friend

You could use xs400 pistons and get the barrel rebored to suit.

try parts n more, bike bandit, speed sport (yamaha top dog) and Yamaha!

Welcome to the forum! Like drew said ebay is your friend and also you will find with a little looking the cheapest prices. Yamaha dealers are very expensive and most offend the engine parts for the xs400-xs360 are discontinued. Speed and sport will more than likely have the parts but are lots of $$$$

Thank for your quick response guys!
I will start a thread in the "custom" topic with pics to follow progress on my project if anyone is intrested in checking it out.
