1979 XS400 18" Rear Wheel Options

I just bought this 79 and it has the 16" rear that I'd like to swap for an 18" wheel.It has the aluminum wheels and I'd like to match the rear to the front.I'm looking to do a scrambler conversion to it and feel the 18" will offer more tire options.

What bike will I be able to get a rear wheel from and will I need to modify anything to accommodate the larger rim?

Are there other Yamaha models which can be donors for the wheels?

I'd even buy a matched set of wheels as long as they'd bolt on.

Depending on your location some of the European bikes had a 18" mag rear wheel.

I managed to get one from a breakers yard in Germany which wasn't too expensive.

I've ended up with heidenau k60 on front and rear.

Yes you can find the 18" mag, with drum, as Snelo has said. Mostly in Europe. You can also find the 18" mag rear with disc over here, you would just need to grab the brake parts and swingarm to match.
