Hello everyone.
I'm a long time lurker and have used this site many, many times to research my technical issues. I Just don't have the time this bike needs. The stator died and finding a working replacement is just plain discouraging. I was going to strip her down for parts and give you fine people the first look.
I'll have pictures and part numbers up shortly before I lose daylight.

Nevermind the puddle. Really. It was gas. I had to drain the tank when i took it out this spring and found the fuel petcock was leaking from ...everywhere.

The third picture is when i originally plucked it out of a barn. I had big plans for her.
She starts up now, but won't charge your battery. I'm not gonna sell her as a whole bike. I hacked the wiring loom chasing parasitic draws and bad connections no one in their right mind would buy her as a whole bike.

There are no cracks or dents in the fender from what I can see. Just 37 years old. I just tore the thing off and got a good look at it. $20 + S&H?

I got them both off and wrapped up. They are selling brand new ones on ebay for 40/each. I'll sell them both for 20 + S&H

It's fine. It'll probably be easier to sell the tank with the emblems anyway.

I'm researching how to remove the tubes without damaging them now. I'll let you know how that went. Tore off the headlight assembly and tach/speedo cluster last night.

Spills - Titus' bike is a 1980 XS400SG, it has a rear drum; no rear disc.

I've a complete rear disc assembly listed - http://www.xs400.com/threads/rear-disc-brake.16064/

It should fit nicely in a medium flat rate USPS box @ $13.60
