78 xs400e with extras $900
It's time to sell my bike. I had a baby in February and this bike has only been ridden twice since then. I want her to be on the road so it's time to pass her on.
78e with around 10k miles on it
Black paint is actually the flat black paint for the midnight edition Mercedes Benz. Paint was don't by a friend of mine who is a body guy at Mercedes Benz of morristown.
All the chrome on the bike is been rubbed to give it a brushed aluminum look. It works well worth the flat black paint.
Seat is in perfect shape with no rips.
European style handlebars (I do still have originals)
After market smaller turn signals(not LED)
Shinko 712 tires with maybe 600 miles on them
Stainless steel brake lines
Aftermarket small speedo( I do still have both stock gauges)
I've owned the bike for 3 years and in that time I have had things replaced including:
Both coils
Condenser
Cam seal
Points
Brake pads
Brake lines
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires and caps
Battery is only 4 months old( and I have a spare to go with it)
Changed fuse box to inline blade fuses
New chain
I am giving all the original stuff that I have too
I'm also giving my extras with the bike too which includes
Another set of mag wheels from an 81 (drum rear)
Chrome front fender
2 oem mufflers
I'm asking $900obo
Bike is turn key ready to ride only issue with the bike is sometimes the idle is finicky.
Clean NJ title in my name
Will post pics and I also have a short video of the Ike starting and running no problem
