So I have started working on my Heritage Special that i picked up a couple months ago.... the cylinders were rusted seized so i bought a good set of cylinders and piston from ebay that were within spec along with new rings and reassembled the top end after disassembling and sandblasting the head and cylinder.

And i sandblasted and painted wheels black along with new tires and handle bars... The handle bars right now are above the triple tree but i will most likely move them down once i get rid of those headlight bucket sleeves

Thanks... Yeah its an 18 in the front and 16 in the back... Should be firing up it up for the first time next weekend.

I narrowed the frame by cutting the center out about an inch, and cutting relief points on the other 4 bars... Then i made a rear loop and put that on, still a little bit more welding to do though.

I made two trays underneath my seat, one for electronics, and one for the kick start only battery.
Obviously i will eventually shorten all the wires so its not so crazy but i am trying to finish my bike in time so i can go with my dad and brother for a riding trip up the coast. The seat loop and pan that i made suits my taste, rejetted the pilot jets by 2 steps for the pods and open exhausts. Once i get a chain riveting tool to get the master link on it"ll be ready to ride around the block.

I went a little 17 year old-ish and painted the tank a little tribute to America.. put on the new master cylinder, bead blasted caliper, and new steel braided lines. Bikes been really fun to ride and the next thing is to rewire it from scrap and get new pods, clean it up etc.
