If it is very difficult to get modifications to the frame approved perhaps you should avoid radical builds. There are some older threads on here with nothing but photos of xs400s. Maybe you will see another design you like.

I would hate to see you put in a lot of effort and money only to be shot down by an engineer.

I know nothing about the tank but I thik it looks cool and would be pretty unique on a xs250. Could be a good buy unless the auction gets really expensive.

Don't mod the tank, just make a couple of brackets to hold it in place - that is what Deus do.

As it in the same town as you maybe you could check it out prior to the auction.

Hi Ryan,

I saw this xs250 & thought you might like the stance with the short struts. You would probably have to use a sprung seat to pass inspection.
