81 xs400 bobber project

found this bike for 300,it did not run at the time or pick up. brought it home changed the plugs then rode it for 100 miles.wow runs great.then i got this idea to chop it up.well, i did. raked it 32 degrees,change the down tube,lowered it to 5 inches from the ground. :banghead:

man this sucks!!! wires everywhere:banghead::banghead: painted tank,not liking out come. i think black with white out line looks better then copper/black maybe trim would make it look better. also here is a few pictures that me and my buddy is doing to his xs650.hardtailed it then paint so far.:thumbsup:

I don't think the tank looks bad, don't worry you can always change it:thumbsup:
 
ok wiring done now its time to fire this thing up. i went to home depot and bought 3" pvc pipe and caps and made my wiring box under seat.doesnt look bad either.ha
 
copper/black with gold trim looks good now.spending alot of time on my buddies xs650.time to get back to the 400.so close but yet so far.making tail light.Thanks man

Yeah don't worry about the tank it took me several try`s and color schemes before it came out right.Just watch out trying to clear coat the copper.It doesn't blend with that type of paint very well.
