SO I want to get some aftermarket cone filters, maybe some K&N's for my bike. The stock ones looks like garbage. What are the best aftermarket air filters, and are there any that wouldn't require an upjet? If no, what are the relative jet adjustments that have to be made? I'm new to this!

I have never heard anyone being able to keep the jetting the same when switching to pods. Have a search on the forum this has been covered a lot of times, but basically it depends on the pods. Likely 1 size up on main jets will be ok, perhaps also 1 size up on pilots. But you'd have to try to find out.

If you go with pods get some uni pods that are foam and take oil. They will work and filter well. Also if you go with k&n's make sire they are the cotton gauze style that you oil not the cheap emgo or the gray mesh ones. Those style allow too much air and turbulence into the carbs causing tuning issues and they will not filter well.
