Air filter swapping

Hey everyone,

Can I use a stock air filter off of a xs650 for the xs400? They look pretty similar but I am out of town and cannot check for sure.

I've never heard of anyone swapping these and it is very unlikely that they fit without modification. Over the years I've come to find that almost nothing from the 650 fits on the 400 without modification.

2 very different bikes forsure,why would you want to swap them though?
