Hi!

This should be a thread about my bike build, its a -82 Xs400 Special that was stock when I got it.
Its my first build of this kind.
But i have built an another bike before, it was an 1998 Africatwin that was transofmd to a Dakar edition.
So this build will be fun when I get to do something else.
Hope you like it and what it will be.
Here´s som pictures...

From original-> How it is for the moment-> and onward.....:bike:

(I have tried on the original rims now, but i have no picture. It will come.)

cool looking bike there Mhassic. love the way your going with it

ps don't throw away that front fender, looks too good a condition!

Thanx! =)
Drewpy: That front fender vill not go any where, i´m saving it for later use. =)

Xschris: No, not this time.=) But i must say that the thougt has been coming up in my mind now and then.(The offroad gene is a strong one)
The question is if i will use those tyres or not, depends on if i use the rims on the picture or stock ones.

Stabler: You see, one step at the time. =) More pictures will come.
I have only one problem, i have no heat or light in my garage so it dependes on the wether when i´m in there or not, and now its -20C outside. =) But i changed the rims to the stock anyway so i can get a picture.

The colors that i have thougt of is: black fram, java green tank and fenders, White mags and handlebar.
The white color i have in mind is bonewhite.

Can you guys help me to find a pair of short rear shocks?
I`m searching shocks that are 280 or 270mm long.
I have looked at fiddy/pitbike shocks, if I take two of those will it be to hard?

I have looked at them, but the problem is that I don´t want them crome.
Yes I can sandblast them but I dont know if I want that with new shock when I can search for non crome.
But if I dont find some others then i buy them. :)

peel back the rim and the glass will pop out along with the speedo/tacho.

you need to make a die in order to press the rim back on.
