Sorry about that.

I'm looking at a complete '77 XS360 for $200. Great deal, love the bike. No title or key. The guy bought it at a police auction and dropped it off at his dad's house before moving out west to Cali. I've tried to get a title for a '71 Volkswagen, and it was a huge ordeal. I know things are a lot more lax with bikes, but I just wanna know what I'll be getting myself into, should I go through with the buy. I'm from Iowa.

I appreciate any help/tolerance I can get, as I'm sure this is a pretty common question.

Well every state is different, but most people will tell you that it's usually more hassle than it's worth. For some states, the process to get a title depends on the age of the bike. I got a title once through international title service, and that wasn't all that complicated, but I tend to stay far away from non-titled bikes. To me, they are just parts bikes. :twocents:
