Hi,
I'm rebuilding the engine of my 12E and I found, with my disappointment, that a ring was broken. Luckily it didn't cause any damage but I need to replace it, of course.
It seems like there are none available all around the world...I could find some for the SOHC, the bore is the same but I'm not sure they have the same thickness.

Is there anybody that could measure them (first and second ring) so I can check if they could fit my engine?

Thx!!!

I wish it was that simple...Yamaha just has no parts listed for the DOHC anymore.

oooops...found why. As I wrote I found a code that seems to match ... 26M-11610-40-00.
Let's see what the local dealer says.

well the best way in that case is to find a vehicle with a similar piston size and see if the rings could be a substitute.

I'm restoring a Gilera of 1973 vintage, and found out a V50 vespa rings are exactly the same .

what I'm saying is there is bound to be something similar out there for our bikes too, just need to measure and let everybody on here know for reference. :)
