Are these tanks different??

Looking to buy a tank for my bike (xs250) both these are xs250 tanks but I'm just wondering if they are different shapes??

Definitely different; compare the bottom; it's easier to see the differences. I don't know anything about xs250s, but the one of the bottom (tank 2) looks like an xs400 tank (79 or 80ish), The top one (tank 1) is a style I have never seen before.

Thanks bc, I can see the difference in the underside just wondering if tank 1 will fit on my frame and clear the coils under the tank... My other option is a Yamaha as100 tank

there are about 4 different xs250/400 styles of tanks in sohc form. go with what you fancy, they all fit. Some my need mods at the rear as I've seen double fitting in german xs's like the rd's!
