Rather than bringin' back an old thread I will update with a new thread.

So here is a pic of the bike as it stands. I got a seat from a friend, a leaky shitty ass sporty tank that I will not be using, but confirmed my tank choice! Also a sporty rear wheel on to guage tire size, 130 instead of 150 so I dont have to worry about an offset sproket at this point.

The motor has it main case sealed back up. I am awaiting gaskets for like 3-4 weeks! The PO broke a piston ring, ONE set was 60 bucks!!!! I mocked the rest of the engine up sans gaskets as this one came in a basket and I was not the person who took it apart!

So to do list is: final welds on the frame. Mount the seat and tank. Finish the engine assembly and mount in the bike. (need carbs!) Buy and mount a rear tire. Fabricate the foot pegs, brake pedal/rear linkage. Etc. Etc.

Thanks all! The foot pad is for under your kickstand!! I grew up without a garage and being a gearhead I made do. It has taken me 20 years to get what I have, it may only be a one car garage, but im happy with it!!

I just scored an authentic 1929 ford tail light for the project!! This thing has character!!!!!

P.S. This is the help I get, 2 daughter that like to wrench! The oldest is mad because I didn't let her weld yet!!!!!

Funny, they asked to "pose" with the biggest wrench they could see, lucky I didn't break out the 3/4" drive socket set!! LOL!

Look what showed up from a friend today:

Wish I had a friend like that! That's the light I wanted to go with but didn't want to spend the money. I went with the "limp sausage" Sparto type.

Looks good. I built an XS400 bobber myself. Where'd you get the spoked fromt wheel. I'd love to change mine out for spokes.

Update, gaskets came in!!! yay, only 2 months wait!!

Here are some pics, put the motor back together today, had the mad scientist helping me, LOL.

Parts should arrive this week, tank, grips, etc.....
