brake clips?

so i took my front caliper off awhile ago and need to put it back on. i have it cleaned up and rebuilt, but am having a hard time placing the clips back in the right spot. they are like rattle clips i believe? i looked at the diagram for oem, but cant make it out very well there. any help would be greatly appriciated.

Took some pictures of a disassembled xs650 caliper. I think its the same as the 400, my 400 has drums. I tried to take them in the order of reassembly, at least the way I do it. The retaining clip you're referring to, I think is the H shaped clip. I put that in first, so the tab on the one side points down, and against the piston side. Hopefully this helps.
