Brake Lever Adjustment

I know there has to be a way to adjust the distance the brake lever sits from the grip. My wife has small hands and the distance right now is too great. I see there is a screw there that seems like it would be the adjuster but the lever just slips back to it's "maxed out" distance.

Am I missing something?

With the stock levers what you see is what you get. I know some after market racing ones use smaller/shorter ones.

Didn't want to hear that. Ok anyone got a line on some aftermarket levers that they know work?

Both of my bike use stock ones. Maybe one of the other members could give you some.

I am actually interested in the answer here, not because of small hands, I just want to replace the controls on mine.
