Carb boot torque spec?

Does anyone happen to know the torque spec for carb boots? I just got new ones to replace the ruinously cracked ones on my bike, but I can't find a spec anywhere. Neither of the shop manuals I have list it, and I've dug around the archive here without success.

Also, do I have to do anything particularly to prep the holder's sealing surface? I've scrubbed the surfaces on the head and wiped them down with acetone, but I don't want to do that to the boots, obviously.

Those size bolts should be around 8-10lbs. No sealant needed just new gaskets between the boots and a clean surface

did you grab them off ebay? I went to a local Yamaha dealer and they told me $76 each.

Ask here before you go there They also want like $200+ for diaphragms each
