carburetors 500 xs on 400

the question is that is ther anyone who put a carburetor coming from a 500 xs on a 400 xs.

Is it possible to do that ? is there any probleme to use ?.

Is there someone can help me , i think that the mikuni for 500 xs are 38 , do you think that a 400 xs motor will run without problem with ?.

You may be able to modify them to fit but they where not made to work on a xs400 so it would not be metered for the bike ( needles and needle jets, pilot circuit main jet etc..)
