Cylinder & Cylinder head Absorber?

Hi guys, I am finishing up the top end rebuild, and I am stumped on this part here. There is two of them, and I can not fathom what or how I lost it? especially 2 of them. Okay, may be I can figure out how I lost just this one piece? I am trying to find ThePsuedoMonkeys pic part by part pics, I haven't found it yet. anyone have a line on this item?

Those are the ruber dampers that go in between the cooling fins on the motor.

Cool, I have those. neither diagram explained. My shop guy, said the bike will whistle if we don't have those in place, any experiences with that?

The engine will rattle and be a lot more noisy without them. Keep them!!
