I like the center stand use it quite often. The only time I cursed its name was trying to get it on the stand immediately after sweeping my super smooth concrete floor. No matter how much weight I put on it the stand just slid across the floor. At least until I pulled my back out. Once I did that it went up just fine.

You should be standing on the bar that sticks out the side then pull back. If you put pressure on the bar it will start to lift the bike making it even easier to get up.

I did stand on it and I do it all the time out in the drive way with no issues. I've even done it in the garage before with no issues but that day was just a fluke I guess. It was just sliding around and scratching the concrete and making me angry. But I did eventualyget it.
