Alright, I replaced the pickup coils.... that wasnt it. Since I couldnt find a guide, heres a quick step by step in case anyone finds this thread in the future.
the 4 digit numbers correspond to the proper pictures.
1) 2789 drain oil
2) 2791 remove side cover bolts and side cover
3) 2795 youll see this thingy. This is the whole pickup coil assembly. Easiest to replace the whole thing (thats what I did) but I dont know why you couldnt replace just one assuming you find the right pickup
4) 2797 crank tht big bolt off. Youll have to lock the rear wheel (thanks babe!)
5) 2798 that little homie comes off. Thats whats attached to your engine and spins. Fancy.
6) 2799 Take the 2 phillips screws out of the top and bottom there
7) 2800, 2802, 2803 Frick. Forgot about that little side cover. Thatll have to come off too - the wires route thru there. Remove the peg, phillips screws, around the plate, and the shifter lever
8) 2804 Theres the new and the old! Pull the old one off, re route the wires, and install the new one. Viola!
