Engine clear coat removal?

I've done it before with a drill, buffing pad and rubbing compound. But it's very slow and tedious. Anybody know of a better way?
 
You could also do wet/dry sanding. I do professional detailing and we do that to to polish the metals when they are in rough shape. You can use a finer sand paper dry to mostly remove it, then go to the serenading and go finer and finer and you'll have beautiful metal! Then follow that with a quick once over with a metal polish and protectant

Great! I think this option sounds better than stripper. Although I may use some in the tight areas...... THX....
