Engine swap 1979

Anyone know what years of 400xs engines
will fit in my 79 400 xs with no or few issues

You can put any sohc in, but you'll have less thing to change with a 79 and earlier. The 80 and up had tci, so you would have to due a bit of rewiring

My 79 has a 77 motor in it and fit with no problems.
