Hey everyone. Just picked up my first XS400 today for $200.00.
Runs, Moves, Stops. Rough other than that. Looking forward to working on it in the future.

cool dude, welcome to the forum.

you don't have a bike till we see the pictures, I can guess what the next question is...
 
to take over from drewpy, you can attach pictures if you click the 'go advanced' mode below the reply box. There you'll find "manage attachments" in the "additional Options" window, below the smileys. there you can upload pictures. :thumbsup:

oh and: clean your carbs.
 
Nah. I'm an old hand at forums. I use photobucket and Direct URL's.
Here's the "barn find" for $200. Like I said it runs, moves, stops (too much - front brake locks up). Really rough condition but it's going to be fun to restore. First things first, I'm going to have to change the ignition switch, or see if keys are still made. Bought it keyless, and run it hot wired. I said it's "rough"... ; )

If your luck just be getting the humbers for the ig switch so you can get a key will get you somewhere.I didnt get that lucky I had to reove the switch from my old enguro to get the key made.
Welcome here good luck with the bike besure and post update pics.For some reason these guys on this site are bike porn junkies LOL:)
