Front Brake Cable Mount Broken, Need advice!

While adjusting my front brake cable, the mount broke! Has this ever happened to anyone? Any suggestions you guys have that wont require taking the whole front wheel off and will secure the cable? Any help would be great!

taking the front wheel off is as easy as pie.

But it looks like something new has to be welded on there. If I were you, I'd take off the front wheel and take it to an experienced welder (since I am not one).
