I have a Green and White wire coming off the speedometer to behind the head light that is not connected to anything. I also have a ground wire that is cut off from the PO. The bike runs minus the headlight which looks like the top filament if blown so I need a replacement but was wondering where this wire is suppose to be connected? if anyone has a picture of the wiring behind the headlight.

That sends signals to the flasher auto-canceller unit. Should be a corresponding bullet connector coming from the main wiring harness.
Many people disconnect the auto-canceller unit entirely. In that case it does nothing.
