Hi everyone,
I just joined the site, and also just bought my first bike. I have wanted to try out riding for a long time. My brother in law rebuilds older bikes as a side job and found me a 1981 Special II XS400 that he got for next to nothing and rebuilt for me. The bike is kind of a beater and doesn't look quite as nice as the pic makes it look (there is a huge dent on the other side of the gas tank and the chrome is pretty beat up), but it runs great. I haven't had any trouble other than a fuse for the turn signals. I'm hoping to get some ideas from the forum and clean it up a little over the next few years. So far I'm having a blast. Just wanted to say hi!
