Its an 81' and needs some work but i love it to death.

Yo! I assume it's a running bike then? Sounds like it'll be a lot of fun, any plans for modifying? Or keeping it stock?

Was not at the time of purchase. Planning a bobber project in the near future. possibly a turbo bobber hardtail, punched out to a 650 if parts can be bought. who bunch of plans lol

Hi from Minnesota. I have an 81 xs400, my last bike was a GL1000 (30mpg), the sx400 gets 55mpg riding hard. I love these little bikes as you all do

The part is an xs650 engine

Honestly though the overbore sizes go up to +1mm which will leave you with an xs415 or something. Plus if you bore out too much you'll weaken the cylinder, which wouldn't be so good if you're going to turbo. Did you read the turbo thread from the tech section? Never finished but awesome read
