Hello all - I am still struggling with missing /flatness/lack of (increase in) power from about 5500 rpm up.
The best real hints I have as to the source of the problem is:
1) Left plug reads dark brown/black while right is much lighter brown almost not quite white seemingly indicating a big difference in mixture between the two cylindere
2) I have done virtually every bit of maintenance and adjustment one can do including:
a) cleaned/“rebuilt”/adjusted carbs twice
b) installed new points, plugs, condenser, coils, wires and plug caps
c) adjusted timing and valves
3) Other info
a) I don't beleive I have air leak as I have done spray tests
b) I am running stock airboxes/filters and a megaphone style exhaust (i thought it was stock, i was running shortys but put this back on, i think its actually aftermarket or from an XS360, it was in bike when I bought
C)I have good compression at about 155 psi in both cylinders
Any ideas what this may be I am quite perplexed at this point after thunking I have elmininated so many items as to what could have been causing this
