Hey guys! :)
New to the forum.
I've been getting a lot of help from the forums lately and I decided to introduce myself now.
My name's Homin and I'm from the suburbs of Chicago.
I have a 1979 xs400 (I'm not sure if it is an actual 1979 because the gas tank is more of a squared gas tank rather than the rounded tank), help me out if it is an actual 1979 or older.
This is my first bike and I'm getting my clip-ons, speedo, tacho, new grips, new rear shocks, custom made seats from my friend (Brady), tail hop, new turn signals (getting new flash relay for it), and finally, bar end mirrors.
I'm not really good with mechanics but reading some threads here really helped me out.
I'm hoping to make my xs look sort of like this... http://www.pipeburn.com/home/2013/05/07/yamaha-xs400-volure-cycles.html#.U1iJxF7F9g1
It might not look exactly like that but that is my goal.
I will be installing some rear sets later but it's too much money!:yikes:
Here is some pictures of my bike right now (really hating the orange and the seats at the moment).
If you guys have any more questions for me or my xs, let me know on this thread.
Thanks :bike:

Welcome :)

It looks to me like a 78-79 model (the earliest model xs400) with the boxy tank, but I am not really an SOHC expert. Looks like a nice bike already!
