how much load a dynamo

Im busy building a hardtail and now i want to make a new wiriing, so i wanted to know how thick cable's i need to use.. for the ingnition coils , dynamo somwbody know how much amperes the motor uses??

The stock charging system on a sohc xs400 puts out around 13 amps at 5k rpm.

For main power feeds and grounds i use 14awg, everything else like horn, signals etc 16 or 18. Main groung to frame and engine from - battery terminal is 8 awg.

Tx for the reactions! I dont have the engine starter any more so i think i dont need to use the 8 awg..

Regardless of e start, i still always run 8 for a main frame ground.

Do you still have the stock wiring? Just use wire the same size as stock.
