Hey guys,

I've been having an issue with slow to return to idle (documented in other posts here) and after changing out just about everything I'm suspecting that the ignition control box might be bad.

On other bikes I know this can some what be tested by verifying coil properties (resistance values), if any are bad you can assume the control box is as well.

Is there a method to do that on this bike?

coils won't change idle, they work, work intermittently or don't work

control box the same.

its carbs or an air leak

I've gone all the way through the carbs, no air leaks detected either. Other thoughts?

to small a pilot, air mix screws set wrong, float setting off. All of these can lead to a lean condition.
