"Ignition Module"

Hi all,

Setting up my new harness for the bike and during tear down found a box under the battery labeled "ignition module". Been looking at factory and custom wiring diagrams and have never seen this in them (minus one diagrams for an XJ on here). Is it known as something different on diagrams? And what exactly does it do? A way to bypass if doing kick only? Mines a '80 SG.

ignition module is what you need to fire the bike up. don't throw it away or you'll have an expensive paper weight in the shape of a bike.
