Hi fellow Yamaha bikers.
I have a check out testing procedure to do.
Problem: STARTING GOING DOWN HILL! About a month or so my bike would start up great. Slowly it would seem dead on starter button, key put oil/neutral light on, no turnover. So I wiggled the key and it turned over. Key switch test? Had battery tested, good. It still could be any part of the TCI system, strator, relay, coils, ect. Seems it will not kick start either, so I thinking no spark?

I need a little direction and how to on this part of my learning cuvre.
Thanks:bike:< trying to get there soon.

Checking into a bad connection to battery or bad charger. Put battery on new charger and she started up 3 tlmes today.
BUT choke and idle screws mix + throttle screw I could use the correct turns on each of them!

Thanks continue checking on battery tomorrow.

Hi, I thought at first it was the key ignition so put new one in. still trouble getting it to start all the time. Then I saw a component under the seat on the rigth hand side. I tapped it a couple of times and it started. More than not this happen time and again, it was the starter solenoid. Have one on the way now.

PS: You sure learn a lot when you buy and old bike.
Thanks to everybody for the past education and future learning.
