is there a special tester for motorcycle batteries?

The one I have for my car battery is too fat to fit in. And ...I have no idea how old my Car Quest battery is. Called the company and they don't know. I thought the numbers on the battery would give a year of manufacture; but guess not...

Not that I'm aware of. I put a voltmeter on the battery and crank the engine with the ignition fuse out so it won't start. If the voltage drops below 8V, I'd be replacing it soon.
 
Thanks a lot. I learn new stuff here all the time.

From the looks of the rust on the terminals, I suspect the battery is a few years old. With no kick start... That's kinda important.
