kick only to e start conversion

So here is my first post


Ok I went over and picked up a xs last night .
While there I was shown another xs ( factory ) that is kick only. Can it be changed to e start.

Mine is electric Only. I'd like to know if it can be Kick AND electric for when the battery dies.

A Kick only can be converted to electric start- heard of and seen it, never done it, so I can't tell you how.

The DOHC cannot be made kick start, but in a pinch, you can roll it and pop the clutch (the higher the gear the better)

it is a 78 has spoke wheels if that matters for the model.

well hough... I been thinking of swapping bottom ends on my bad twin project....

been looking at doing the same thing while working on my 78 xs400 project. I am looking at stripping it down to the frame and rebuilding it from scratch adding modifications here and there. One mod is adding an electric start to it so i have the best of both worlds.
