Kickstarter spring

Hey guys, I can't seem to figure out my kickstarter. I hooked it all up last night and thought it was right until I tried to kick it over and it didn't spring back. Also, I tried to electric start it and it actually turned the kick lever too! This can't be good. I'm going to take it all back apart tonight to inspect. Is there a certain way that spring has to go in, or tension? Could this be a clutch problem? Any video links or pics would be great! Thanks!

Sounds like your kickstart return spring is on back to front. Its been covered before, just serch in "google search" at the top left of the forum page.
