late 81 82 heritage sohc regulator rectifier

I am reassembling my bare bones wiring and i dont remember seeing a voltage regulator the first time i stripped the bike. i have the rectifier with fins and mount hole in middle all the pics i find say this is a reg/rec combo unit which is all i had hooked up with electronic ignition. Now im going to points and i just want to make sure that is what this unit is before i go hunt down a seperate voltage regulator.

Okay time to dig in parts box looks like I was running without it the first time I rewired it oops thanks guys.
