It seems like forever since I posted any news about the Bob Job I'm doing. I pretty much took the summer off and did notwork on he bike, I was getting a burnout rom the heat so this fall I resumed where I left off. The motorcycle is at a point now to where It won't be long...Where have I heard that before?
The carbs have just been set by an old pro here in town and he called me from the shop and said that he cannot get it to stay running for more than a few seconds and that the right coil was getting real hot. Well this happened to me before so I am going to pick it up Monday, carbs set, fuel feed spot on, and ready to get new coils and points from Mikes.
It finally dawned on me why they heated. I changed from a black box ignition to points and did not change the coils. DUH!!!
Sometimes I wonder.
